HouseWorks Digital Media, Inc. is a joint venture of editor Rick Feist and designer Mechthild Schmidt. We founded the company in 1998 after a decade of work in the broadcast and advertising world. Reflecting changes in technoglogy, HouseWorks moves the creative post production process from the factory-like setting of a facility to the intimacy of a 19th century brownstone in Manhattan's NoMad. HouseWorks offers state-of-the-art Avid editing with all broadcast formats, integrating AfterEffects graphics done on multi-processor Macs. The expertise and artistry of Rick and Mechthild are our special strength. HouseWorks specializes in TV spots utilizing special effects engineered for broadcast. The graphics reflect a fine arts background with an emphasis on color, composition, and (a tad) of whimsy.
